      Hello,

I believe my meter isn’t working when set for video exposure. Whichever of the three exposure tools I’m on (ISO, f-number, shutter angle) defaults to the lowest number and then stays on that number flashing red no matter where I point the meter. It does not appear to be reading anything. Also there is no option for 180 shutter angle.

When I switch to still the meter appears to work. Color temp and chromaticity also seem to work.

      Please advise.

      Thanks

      Hi Nick,

Are you using the iPhone App? That seems to be the culprit. I can confirm that shutter angle=180 is missing. Also, the values do not seem to change as they should. We will get this fixed right away.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Yes, I am using the iPhone app. Glad you guys are aware of the issue.

So is it a problem with the app itself or will I need to send in the meter?

      Thanks

Definitely an app thing. It will be an update through the App Store (Apple).

Same issue here. Got the meter specifically for video exposure. 180 degrees is the standard. Hard to believe that would be overlooked. Any idea when that crucial update will arrive?

I don’t have a date yet for this. We know this is very important to fix.

Just got my meter today and found the same issues and yes, 180 degree shuttle angle would be great, would probably put as default on video.

Thanks for the feedback. We’re working on updating the iOS and Android apps. Our goal is to release updates to both by the end of February, or sooner.

We apologize for the inconvenience and really appreciate your patience!

Like others, I specifically got this for video work.

I’m very concerned something this blatantly obvious was missed in testing.

Could we get periodic updates to the community on this critical issue ?

We apologize for not getting the video more right on the first release. We’re working on the next release right now. Our target is to release iOS and Android app updates by Feb 23, or sooner. The three most critical issues for us are (1) video metering mode broken, (2) can’t always switch into strobe metering, and (3) adding exposure compensation and meter compensation sliders.

Hopefully you can make use of the meter as it is until the release comes out. We’ll be sure to send an update to all our customers once the apps are released.

Please try downloading the latest version of the app from the App Store. There was an update that includes this fix.
