      Hi.

Just got my meter. Connected fine to my Android phone.

The main problem is that exposure readings are off by 5-6 stops. The illuminati reads

      ISO 1600
      f4
      1/800

in my dim living room. Correct exposure at ISO 1600 and f4 is about 1/8 second.

The app I got from Google Play said it was “unreleased” and the version info says 0.12, released February 2018.

So, I’m guessing the app is the problem, and perhaps because I’m in Canada, the Play Store isn’t letting me see what I’m sure must exist, a more recent version of the app. Can anyone point me to the apk of the latest version, or suggest another solution?

      Thanks,

      Owen.

@Owen Egan – thanks for your question. We have replaced your meter and sent you an updated app. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do. Also, as always, interested in what you are doing with your meter and how it is working for you.

      Hi Illuminati people.

I received the replacement meter – thanks very much for the quick action on this. I’m pretty thrilled to report it appears to work perfectly.

I haven’t run it through any paces yet, but my initial exposure reading (on the same dimly-lit couch) as well as color reading was bang-on.

I’m eager to use this in real life. I often shoot in the Faculty Club of McGill University, sometimes just with ambient light, and sometimes mixing ambient with a monolight bounced off the (cream-colored) ceiling. I’ll be interested into see what filtration the meter will suggest to color-match the two sources.

Again, thanks for the quick and professional service with this.

      Owen.
